Our Mission
To teach and show children the heart of Jesus and His unconditional love for them. In doing so, we pray that each child will develop a personal relationship with Jesus, which will be their foundation of success in all areas of life. We aim to do this through various programs based on the current need of the families and children in our community.
Our Testimony
My name is Missy Freehling, I am the founder of Raise Up for Christ, Inc. In the fall of 2011, God gave me a vision of the old Harlan Elementary School building with Children in it. At the time the building was vacant. Little did I know that at the same time God was giving vision and calling The Ekklesia in Harlan to purchase the building for community ministry and outreach. In 2014 the building was purchased. I started praying and asking God what I was supposed to do involving children in the building. After some time it became clear that He was calling me to start a daycare. Through the process of forming the non-profit organization, He gave me thoughts that the organization may be called to other forms of children and youth ministry in the future. Raise Up Christian Daycare opened June 1, 2015. In the spring of 2022, I felt God leading us to start a Hybrid Academy. Lord willing Raise Up Christian Hybrid Academy will open in the Fall of 2023. I look forward to seeing what other opportunities God will call us to in the future.
